About Daughters of Both Suns

Daughters of Both Suns is a trauma-informed nonprofit organization providing culturally grounded mental health support for Black and Latina women. Founded in Myrtle Beach, SC, we exist to close the racial, linguistic, and economic gaps in mental health care by offering free therapy, bilingual crisis support, and community-based healing. Our core programs include: • Sanar Therapy Fund – covers up to 12 free sessions of trauma-informed therapy for women in need • Bilingual Crisis Support – real-time emotional support via text and voice in English and Spanish • Healing Circles & Workshops – restorative group spaces rooted in storytelling, sisterhood, and cultural care • Resource Navigation – helping women access housing, food, legal advocacy, reproductive health, and more We serve survivors of violence, grief, systemic trauma, and emotional neglect—many of whom have been overlooked by traditional systems of care.
