We want to unite business, organisations, public authorities, and research, creating a Danish data science ecosystem that enables excellent data science-driven research, training, and knowledge sharing. Data science is a rapidly developing field and is of crucial importance to the development of our society. This applies to everything from digitalisation and disease prevention to sustainable growth and business development. In 2030, Denmark will lack up to 80,000 people with skills within AI. Knowledge sharing and training of new generations of data science experts is vital for creating a world class data science environment. Novo Nordisk Foundation and VILLUM FOUNDATION have awarded 184 MDKK to DDSA to support and fund education, networking, and collaboration within Danish data science.
