About Deaf Spotlight

Deaf Spotlight is a creative incubator and curator of original stories by an underrepresented community. Our work celebrates intersectional Deaf experiences on the stage, on the screen, and in every artistic realm. The artists we spotlight act as storytellers and historians that keep the legacy of sign language alive and share it with the world. To advance the transformational narratives of Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled and Hard of Hearing (DDBDDHH) artists, we give them opportunities and resources that allow them to create art on their own terms. Our events are inclusive spaces where DDBDDHH artists and audience members can celebrate art without language barriers, and where all types of audience members can experience the arts through Deaf Culture and Sign Language.
