DeaL Energy has been formed by the two reputable shipping companies J. Lauritzen and DFDS to join forces on the bunker purchasing and share knowledge and resources in order to optimize and strengthen the purchasing power for both companies. The aim is also to attract other shipping companies to use DeaL Energy for handling their bunker procurements. Despite DeaL Energy being a new company, it is well anchored in the bunker industry as it is built on J. Lauritzen Bunkers desk, that has been procuring bunkers worldwide for more than 30 years for the J. Lauritzen fleet, and also for several other companies. The four experienced bunker specialists from the J. Lauritzen Bunkers desk are now all working for DeaL Energy A/S. Therefore, the company is already well known and respected worldwide. On an annual basis the company is purchasing in more than 150 ports using close to 100 different suppliers and traders. Only approved suppliers/traders are used and there is a high focus using the BIMCO terms 2018 for the purchases ensuring safe and balanced terms for both parties and ensuring a proper quality of bunkers bought. The company is experienced in purchasing bunkers for Bulk Carries, Gas Carriers, Tankers, Passenger vessels, Reefer vessels and RoRo/RoPax carriers. For many years the purchasing has been fine tuned and today the company is able to provide a ‘One Stop Shop’ that includes; timing of purchase, support and guidance to operation and chartering teams on bunkers related matters, arrange the bunkering at competitive prices and cover post bunkering aspects and tasks..
