About Debtless, NFP

Debt is considered one of the top factors hindering social and economic advancement. A modest sum of debt that is not able to be paid in full can quickly escalate and hinder an individual’s ability to achieve an adequate standard of living, obtain credit, or purchase a home, among many other serious consequences. Debtless seeks to address this problem created by predatory industries, by purchasing debt from the secondary market and forgiving the debt at no tax consequences to the debtor. We are able to do this as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that can provide this financial relief as a gift out of “detached and disinterested generosity.” Once we have acquired and forgiven the debts, each impacted debtor is notified that their debt has been eliminated. Once the notice is received, each individual can now take steps to improve their financial status by notifying any necessary creditors of their new debt-free status.
