About Decentrale

Decentrale is an organization that focuses on non-formal adult education. We came into being through the association of socially and intercultural engaged trainers who want to provide space for a critical examination of societal and social issues. More and more people have the desire to live in a sustainable, power-reflective, competence-oriented and cooperative way. This applies to organizations and people of all kinds. Unfortunately, our educational system does not currently foster the skills needed to go down this path. For us as Decentrale, it is important to open up spaces in which these very skills can be learned on the basis of reflection on our own privileges. We want to use our accumulated knowledge and skills to transform the world through education. We give seminars, trainings, project companion, consultancy and workshops that address topics ranging from intercultural encounters to feminism, sustainability and the SDGs, inclusivity in the digital, ethics in research work, migration and critique of development cooperation. In addition, we work with organizations and initiatives and advise them on digital methodology and educational work.
