About Decompression Amsterdam
We are a creative collective reopening the factory doors to the Lokovsky Hall – an old shipping factory situated in Industrial Amsterdam Noord – a place typically known for its large-scale industrial manufacturing. The Lokovsky Hall (home of Atelier Mellius) has been a place of creation for over 9 years and may well be the largest Art Studio in Amsterdam. Now it is the time to share this beautiful industrial space, turned industrial studio, into the new creative hub of Amsterdam. Decompression Amsterdam exists as a local based platform whose mission it is to help Atelier Mellius in its development towards attracting new-thinking people, creating a cult / community and setting up the project in such a way that it becomes self-sufficient. We are solely responsible for outreach, event booking and promotional material and partially responsible for creative direction, strategy and implementation of strategy.
