About Deep Rooted Gaming
Deep Rooted Gaming is a small black-owned indie games studio founded by two avid video game fans. We started this company for two reasons; both have to do with underrepresentation in the Games Industry. Firstly, Black/African-American people make up about 1% of people employed in the games industry. So we want to do our part by connecting with people who would not normally get the opportunity to have their work seen to increase the number of POC in the industry. Secondly, by increasing the number of POC in the industry, we will be able to have more games on the market that look like us, that we are better able to connect with because the stories and characters will resonate more with us. With that being said, the only thing left to say is that, REPRESENTATION MATTERS!
