About Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center
Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center (Del Oro) is a private, nonprofit human services agency, dedicated to improving the well-being of family caregivers and providing support throughout the journey. Family caregivers are at the heart of our organization and our compassion, service and respect for this endearing population is paramount to our culture. Del Oro delivers a comprehensive package of caregiver-centered services throughout thirteen counties—Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba. Established in 1987, Del Oro has a proven track record of providing supportive, effective and cost-efficient caregiver services such as Information and Assistance, Family Consultation, Education and Training, Counseling, Legal Consultation, Support Groups, On-Line Resources and Respite Care. As a member of the California Caregiver Resource Center system, Del Oro is one of eleven centers in the state. Del Oro is funded through contracts with the California State Department of Health Care Services, Area 4 Agency on Aging, private grants, fundraisers and donations. Del Oro is governed by a 14-member Board of Directors comprised of members of the community that offer their time, expertise and passion for family caregivers.
