The Festival has had such distinguished poets as former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, Pulitzer Prize winners Paul Muldoon, Philip Schultz, Louise Gluck and Rita Dove (the latter two also former U.S. poet laureates), National Book Award winner Gerald Stern, and award-winning poets Thomas Lux, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Stephen Dobyns and Diane Wakoski along with many regional and New Jersey poets who give free public readings from their works. The Festival is held each autumn.
