About Delhi Public Radio

Delhi Public Radio, Inc. was established in Sept 2013 for the purpose of starting a radio station for the Delhi Township area. In October 2013, we applied for the LPFM station on 98.1 during the FCC's latest LPFM filing window. In November 2013, we found out that we were a singleton application. Meaning that no one else in the area applied for 98.1 On February 19th, 2014 we were granted the construction permit for the LPFM frequency of 98.1 FM. At that time we started securing funding to purchase equipment and lease studio space. On May 22, 2014, we received our transmitter, antenna, EAS receiver and coax cable. We began equipment testing during the first week of June 2014. On June 15, 2014, we began program testing. Running our full 80s format. On June 24, 2014 we applied to the FCC for our full license to cover the construction permit. June 30, 2014, the FCC GRANTED our license.
