DemandTrans Solutions Inc. has been in existence since 1994, and is based in Chicago. DemandTrans is primarily a technology development company, with strong competency in resource scheduling systems, with a focus during the past decade on applications for public transportation-related purposes. The company has developed two commercial products for demand responsive transportation services, including a comprehensive technology platform, MobilityDR, that is used in several large DRT services for the general public (aka microtransit) provided by public transportation agencies. MobilityDR was initially designed and implemented by DemandTrans more than a decade ago for the FlexRide general public DRT operations of the Denver regional transit agency. FlexRide now operates in 23 service zones in the Denver area and represents the largest use to date of general public DRT (microtransit) by a metropolitan transit agency in the U.S. DemandTrans has a close business relationship with a Finland-based Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform provider, Kyyti Group, and the two companies technologies are now integrated. In addition, DemandTrans is actively involved in transportation consulting projects focused on the application of emerging technology approaches to improve transportation service outcomes for both consumers and service providers.
