It’s the most dangerous time in the U.S. in decades. Rising threats and harassment threaten our civil society and our democracy. The Democracy Security Project exists to provide durable solutions and support for change-makers, organizers, civil servants, authors, artists, teachers, healthcare professionals, journalists, leaders, and anyone facing new or urgent threats to themselves or their work. For those impacted, and those who feel a duty of care, facing harassment and threats can be scary and isolating. Individuals and organizations are ill-equipped and under-funded to face this sharp rise of physical and online aggression. We provide answers and actionable steps to help keep you safer and to empower you to continue to do your work in the face of evolving intimidation and threats of violence. We work to ensure that all people, especially women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ people, religious minorities, and other particularly threatened communities, have access to trainings, tools, and support they need to make a difference safely.
