Founded in 2023 to support Americans abroad on the McGill University campus, our main objectives include: • Helping members of the McGill community navigate the absentee voter process through on-campus voter registration drives • Organizing opportunities for student activism, primarily through phone banking, campaigning for progressive candidates, and organizing canvassing trips to upstate New York and Vermont • Hosting social gatherings where students can view major political broadcasts, such as debates, elections, State of the Union addresses, etc. • Providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for political discussion and debate pertaining to the Democratic Party’s interests • Acting as a liaison between McGill students and Democrats Abroad Montreal, Democrats Abroad Canada, Democrats Abroad, and the Democratic Party • Welcoming students, regardless of their country of citizenship, to participate and learn about U.S. politics and the Democratic Party Reach out to us at vpinternal.demsatmcgill@gmail.com for more information!
