The Department of Transport is responsible for strategic transport policy, planning, and investment in Western Australia. Collaborating with Transport Portfolio partner agencies Main Roads WA and the Public Transport Authority, we oversee the movement of people and freight through a network of roads, railways, airports, ports, shared paths, and waterways. With nearly 1,800 employees, we boast a diverse and inclusive community of professionals dedicated to creating a better future for Western Australia. As transport professionals we are dedicated to fostering genuine connections, growth, wellbeing, and purpose, delivering sustainable transportation solutions across Western Australia and developing strategic policies for maritime, aviation, cycling, walking, and land transport. As part of the Transport Portfolio, we are committed to enabling Indigenous individuals and businesses to engage in our project delivery.
