About Depression Recovery Trust

An integrated, recovery-oriented mental health service for people with moderate to severe depression and anxiety. We provide high quality personalised care for adults from a purpose-built Centre located in Te Aro, Wellington. Wellington people will have access to a compassionate, evidence-based programme that addresses their mental, spiritual, physical and social health, and restores their sense of wholeness and belonging. Our approach focuses on four key areas: diverse therapies, recovering together, reigniting wellbeing and creating a strong therapeutic community. The Centre will include a range of therapy services, social activities in small and wider group settings, focus on stress reduction, mindfulness, cooking and activities in nature. While simultaneously, fostering a community centred on whānau, cultural and peer support. This service will be a first of its kind in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our Centre draws on successful models seen overseas. There is strong evidence of short term and long term positive outcomes for all participants.
