Una storia di emozioni in bianconero. Il Derthona Basket nasce nel 1955 ed è protagonista di una grande crescita nel corso dell’ultimo decennio: la stagione 2008/09 vede la squadra conquistare la promozione in Serie C1 chiudendo l’annata da imbattuta, con il decisivo contributo di una stella della pallacanestro europea come Petar Naumoski. La stagione 2013/14 termina con un altro risultato storico: la promozione in Serie A2 al termine di un anno che ha visto il Derthona restare in testa alla classifica per tutto il corso del campionato. Giunto al quinto campionato di A2 consecutivo, nel marzo 2018 il Derthona Basket ha vinto, per la prima volta nella sua storia, la Coppa Italia di Serie A2 sconfiggendo Trieste, Biella e Ravenna nella manifestazione disputata a Jesi. All’inizio della stagione 2019/20 il Derthona Basket ha conquistato la Supercoppa LNP Old Wild West superando Udine e Torino nella Final Four disputata il 27 e il 28 settembre 2019 al PalaLido Allianz Cloud di Milano. Nella stagione 2020/21 la squadra è protagonista di una grande cavalcata che vale il record (dodici) di vittorie consecutive a inizio campionato nella storia della Serie A2 e che si conclude con la promozione in Serie A grazie alla vittoria per 3-2 nella serie di finale del Tabellone Argento contro la Reale Mutua Torino. A partire dalla stagione 2017/18 il Gruppo Gavio è diventato il main sponsor del Club, con la società Bertram Yachts.
