Dhahran Model United Nations is an organization/association that a forward-thinking body of students from Dhahran High School founded 16 years ago, which has grown to become an infamous establishment at our school, as well as the largest MUN conference in Saudi Arabia with over 300+ delegates in each conference. Our main mission is To educate ourselves and future generations about the issues that surround us, to raise awareness, and brainstorm solutions that make us better citizens of the world. Throughout our annual MUN journey, we motivate students to learn and advance their public speaking skills, speech writing, collaborating, debating, practicing diplomatic advocacy among a multitude of priceless skills for culturally-sound individuals. MUN gives students a better understanding of current issues, international relations, all the while encouraging tomorrow’s leaders to find modern solutions.As previously broached by our executive team members, Our DHAMUN club works towards enhancing students’ understanding of the mission of the United Nations, engendering responsibility towards the problems our world faces and preparing them to comprehend and show commitment to being the leaders and thinkers of tomorrow. Our DHAMUN conferences encourage students to be able to think, discuss and create solutions to real-world problems using their critical thinking skills, diplomatic proficiency, and debating expertise. During the DHAMUN conference, students get hands-on experience with the simulation of the United Nations. The experience of researching topics, participating in committee debates, arguing (in a friendly way), debating all day, letting their voices be heard, drafting resolutions, and enjoying the gossip boxes is truly an unmatched eventful experience.
