About DiGi Distribution

DiGi Distribution was founded by Nick Soares. Nicks film career begun with a nine month internship with Universal Studios after graduation. After working closely with one of the world’s top producer/distributors at the back lot, Nick realized how difficult it is for indie films to be seen by studios. Nick then came up with an idea to start his own distribution company. Nick pitched his idea to his high school friend, Chris Boss, who has an extensive background in business, sales, and negotiations. Chris thought the company was a great idea, and the two hit the ground running, forming DiGi Distribution. Two years later DiGi Distribution was approved as a direct aggregator for filmmakers. Though this was an accomplishment, it still was not enough to get independent filmmakers the money they deserve to pay back their investors, and make a profit. Nick then called his longtime friend and mentor, Jeff Berry, the Executive Director of Virtual Effects and Production Services at Universal Studios. Nick explained the goal of DiGi Distribution, and seven months later, Jeff left Universal Studios to become the President of DiGi Distribution. Now, thirteen years in the making, DiGi Distribution is a full service distribution company that offers everything from financing to theatrical distribution.
