About Digital Knowledge
Digital Knowledge is a small consultancy, focused on change of all sorts of processes, based on learning and knowledge and the impact and use of technology, simple and advanced. We don't just focus on organisations; we also focus on individuals, in the roles they perform and how they use technology. We find that change is not brought-on by formal activities, but often by individuals reacting to circumstances. We generally label change in individuals as improvement, in products as innovation and in organisations as development or growth. In our perspective change is based on learning. Learning generates knowledge, which can be re-used, by both the knowledge 'creator' and the knowledge 'user'. At Digital Knowledge, we think it is essential for organisations to be aware of the transition to knowledge-intensive processes, the related social and economic structures and the technology employed. For individuals, we think it's very important to project our own improvement onto the structures in which we actively participate: work, school, sports club, etc. That's why it's important that children learn to understand that learning can be fun. Additionally, we should foster creativity within them by not presenting them ready-made answers, but stimulating them to think of all possible solutions. This type of creativity will then provide them with the basis to generate inventive solutions for problems that defy standard classification, i.e. in real life. The same goes for organisations!
