About Digital Sovereignty Coalition
The Digital Sovereignty Coalition (DSC) is a nonpartisan civic initiative leading the charge to protect democracy, civil liberties, and human dignity in the age of artificial intelligence. As governments and corporations consolidate control over cloud infrastructure, surveillance systems, and algorithmic governance, DSC emerges as the vanguard of a Digital Civil Rights Movement—built for the 21st century but rooted in a legacy of moral clarity. That legacy begins with Dr. George D. Kelsey, theologian and mentor to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose teachings on justice, ethics, and human worth shaped the foundations of the original Civil Rights Movement. Today, his grandson Everett N. Kelsey Jr.—technologist, futurist, and former media professional—leads DSC with the mission to embed that moral lineage into the DNA of sovereign AI systems. DSC operates as the connective tissue between three interconnected initiatives: * BLKMKT AI – A software development company building sovereign, culturally literate AI systems such as the Ethnographic Repository and OliveGPT, designed to ensure inclusivity, transparency, and human context in machine learning. * BLKMKT Tech – A technology consultancy dedicated to helping institutions adopt equitable and ethical AI infrastructure rooted in cultural fluency and digital agency. * Fifth Industrial Revolution AI (5IR AI) – DSC’s public-facing media engine, serving as a civic storytelling platform that translates complex tech policy into accessible narratives through viral video essays, interviews, and cultural critique. Together, these entities form a unified ecosystem designed to challenge techno-authoritarianism, educate the public, and develop alternative AI infrastructure grounded in public interest—not profit or control. DSC invites policymakers, technologists, artists, and citizens alike to join a new kind of movement—one that safeguards not just our past civil liberties, but our future digital freedoms.
