Our firm, Direct Mailing Services (Pvt.) Ltd. (DMS), was incorporated as a partnership and registered under the Business Names Ordinance in September 1997, to handle the bulk mailing of Letters, Monthly Statements, Annual Reports, Quarterly and Half yearly Statements and Promotional Brochures etc., both locally and overseas. Since commencing mailing operations we have also ventured into other areas of activity, namely, staff sourcing, Mail Room and Archives Management, Domestic Courier Services, Transaction Printing etc. DMS was incorporated into a private limited liability company in April 2002. MANAGEMENT Two Directors, Ravi Peiris and Jagath Ponnamperuma and five Managers in charge of Administration, Operations, ICT, Recruitment and Placements, and Finance, manage the company on a day-to-day basis. Ravi Peiris functioned as the General Manager / CEO of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) till October 1993 prior to functioning as an independent consultant to USAID working in capital market development projects in Nepal, Kazakhstan and Romania till 1997. Jagath Ponnamperuma joined the Colombo Stock Exchange in June 1986 as the Trading Floor Manager. Subsequent to obtaining the Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Kelaniya he served the Colombo Stock Exchange in several managerial positions prior to assuming duties as the Head of the Central Depository Systems in 1991 which position he held until his departure from the CSE in June 2002.
