About Dirty Boots Coffee

The Dirty Boots Coffee Story Dirty Boots Coffee started with a question—and a cup of coffee—in the hands of Phil Rogacki, a lifelong tradesman, entrepreneur, and advocate for the hardworking men and women who build this country. Phil comes from a long line of tradesmen. His father, grandfather, and uncles worked in concrete, masonry, carpentry, and electrical work. He followed in their footsteps, building three successful companies in concrete, asphalt, and tree care. He also founded Academy Trained, a trade school for arborists, and co-hosts Two Tree Guys, a podcast dedicated to elevating the tree care industry. But Phil saw a problem on the horizon: in the next 10 years, over 40% of our skilled workforce is set to retire, and fewer young people are stepping in. The narrative that college is the only path forward has overshadowed the value of the trades—careers that offer purpose, stability, and pride. Phil knew something had to change. One morning, with his dirty boots laced and coffee in hand, he had a thought: what if this cup could help build the future of the trades? That idea became Dirty Boots Coffee. Phil teamed up with Dennis Dumas, a tradesman with a heart for service, and Stuart Fritchman, a master roaster with over 30 years of experience. Together, they created a brand rooted in hard work and real impact. With every pound of coffee sold, $1 goes directly to the trade of your choice—supporting training programs, apprenticeships, and trade schools across the country. Dirty Boots Coffee isn’t just about great coffee. It’s about fueling a movement, honoring those who work with their hands, and building something that lasts—one cup at a time. This is Phil’s story. It’s the tradesman’s story. And it’s just getting started.
