About Disability Sports Australia

Disability Sports Australia (DSA) is a national not-for-profit and registered charity working to increase grassroots sport participation for people with disability. For over 60 years, we've been at the forefront of disability sport in Australia — beginning with wheelchair sport and our role as the national peak body for sport for people with physical disability. Today, we are disability-agnostic, supporting access and inclusion across all disability types. We partner with clubs, schools, governments, and sporting bodies to remove barriers and create environments where people with disability can participate meaningfully — both on and off the field. Through practical programs, lived experience leadership, and sector-wide collaboration, we help sport become a place where everyone belongs. Our work drives long-term change from the grassroots level through to the broader sport system. Because every person with disability deserves the opportunity to find their place in sport.
