DRCIT provides portable communications and technology equipment in preparation for, during, and following disasters and emergencies to the general public, NGOs/NPOs, and first responders. This includes providing volunteers to handle/relay communications for first responders, hospitals, and NGOs/NPOs; providing equipment (e.g. radios/repeaters, satellite, wired/wireless network equipment, computers, etc.); training first responders on the use of alternative methods of communications in preparation for disasters, and more. We also ship our equipment to other agencies to support their response at no cost. We also provide specialized communication gear in the form of customized kits for use by hospitals, CERT teams, emergency communication teams, and the general public, making use of public safety, GMRS, amateur, marine, and commercial radio gear. All disaster relief work is supported by voluntary donations and grants.
