About Disciples Escoffier UK
Escoffier once wrote: “Cuisine will evolve just as society itself evolves, without ceasing to be an art.” It is on the 9th November 2007 that the Disciples d’Escoffier Great Britain is being created. Mr Michel Bourdin is then the president which was then since October 2009, replaced by Mr Jacques Pasquier; until February 2014, when Philippe Vandewalle was elected; he held the position until February 2017, when Daniel Ayton was duly elected as President. Created in 1954 in Villeneuve-Loubet, the association Les Disciples Escoffier aims to transmit to new generations of cooks and gourmets the spirit of Auguste Escoffier's work and to promote respect for gastronomic culture, the search for improvement of discipline, transmission of gastronomic and culinary knowledge. Any new member of the association is therefore committed in this direction: "I take an oath to transmit, serve, and honour the Cuisine, its culture and its permanent evolution
