DiscoverVeggie is an innovative destination providing veggie and non-veggie foodies an easy way to find and review vegetarian cuisine from all types of local restaurants through the Internet. Founders, Sanjay Patel, Nirav Shah and Samir Patel, were three vegetarians who kept going to the same restaurants that they knew had vegetarian dishes. This quickly became unfulfilling and led them to create DiscoverVeggie to fill the void and encourage all vegetarians to go outside of their own "restaurant comfort zone." DiscoverVeggie has a searchable directory of restaurant profiles which display venue details, reviews, and menus with meat dishes stripped away, providing consumers an easy way to find vegetarian cuisine from all types of local restaurants. Consumers can also 'fave' restaurants, share with friends, post up reviews, photos, and videos as well as flip flop (the art of converting a non- vegetarian dish into a vegetarian dish). DiscoverVeggie brings another unique facet by empowering restaurant owners and managers to add or claim their restaurant’s profile listing, helping them to stay connected with patrons. Restaurants are provided online tools to post up coupons, news, events, photos, videos, edit their menus, and send out fan blasts to consumers that 'fave' them. We have more features in store.
