About Discovery Center
Our aim is to improve research capacity in Eastern Europe and to strengthen its excellence through development of research networks and establishment of project-based consortiums. The mission of our company is to help research institutions in the region to converge to the European Research Area, and to encourage the launch of competitive research networks enabling research institutes to play a decisive role. The company and its partners have considerable experiences in the fields of health development, technical and IT innovation. We have defined agricultural and food innovation as its third major area, which has been strengthened by agricultural universities and researchers. Therefore, our activities are organized along technical innovation and ICT, health and medical science and agricultural and food innovations. Corporations as well as universities and research institutions help us generating innovation by establishing research networks for specific causes. These research networks do not operate as formal relationships. But, researchers and academics are involved in joint thematic projects so they can mutually benefit from their cooperation. Our company constantly monitors the latest research trends across Europe and the World. Research activities are being operated along the topics of technology, healthcare and medicine, agriculture and food innovation. We do not depend only on existing ideas, but make serious efforts in order to provide solutions to problems affecting certain sectors of society. Therefore, our organization is constantly seeking for problems to be solved and generating innovative answers by involving research teams. We build research plans, development concepts, useful and sustainable solutions for society. Discovery Research and Development Center Nonprofit Kft. was the initiator of an international innovation broker training in the Visegrad countries for ‘channeling’ new innovative ideas.
