About Discovery Land Child Care

At Discoveryland Childcare & OSC Program, we aim to provide high quality childcare in a safe environment filled with creative learning experiences and recreational activities. We believe children should come first and they are therefore the central focus of our childcare program. We focus on having exemplary interactions with children because we hold the opinion that responsive stable caregiver-child interactions are the single most important element in quality child care. Our role as caregivers is to listen to and observe children, expand on their individual needs and interests. As well as providing them with develop-mentally appropriate activities and experiences to help in their growth and discovery. Instead of focusing on academics, we allow children to learn through child-directed free play. It is our responsibility to create an atmosphere of love, acceptance, fun, and curiosity where children can explore and develop a positive sense of the world around them. We respect the dignity of each child and emphasize respect of all children, regardless of race, religion, gender, national origin or special needs.
