The Discovery Shipyard was founded in 1998 and is the leading British builder of luxury blue-water cruising yachts designed for simple two handed sailing. More than a decade on the company is a thriving business employing up to 100 skilled workers who build the highest quality yachts at its 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Marchwood, near Southampton, Great Britain. The management team is dedicated to providing a unique service that is defined by the ingenuity of its designs, build quality and customer care. The Discovery Shipyard yachts are well known for clever features, custom designed innovation as well as the high level of standard equipment installed and included in every yacht. The current range are the Discovery Hull 55, 58 and 67 fixed keel yachts, the Southerly 42, 48 and 54 lifting keel yachts as well as the award-winning Bluewater 50 catamaran by Discovery. (Mk 3 version now available). Renowned for their fast performance and easy motion, the Discovery Shipyard range was designed by Ron Holland, Stephen Jones and Ed Dubois to ensure exhilarating and effortless passage making. Dixon Yacht Designs created the design of the Bluewater 50 Catamaran which offers spacious on-board living with world-class sailing. All of the yachts have a light and airy, contemporary interiors, some designed by Ken Freivokh with their hallmark raised saloons offering panoramic vision. Discovery Yachts are the ultimate world class cruising yachts; fast, beautifully balance and designed to take two people around the world in safety with exceptional comfort. Owning a Discovery is the ultimate experience of a lifetime.
