About DiverseScholar

DiverseScholar (a non-profit project of Community Partners) diversifies the doctoral workforce by promoting the success of underrepresented minority postdoctorates. We have a special emphasis in diversity talent sourcing at the junior faculty level especially in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.) fields. Our unique community of diverse doctorates use our MinorityPostdoc.org career portal, read our _DiverseScholar_ original articles, and populate our Doctoral Directory CV database. DiverseScholar is tackling the national problem of STEM workforce diversity by helping recent doctoral graduates with professional development training and proactive recruiting. DiverseScholar also has two newer diversity initiatives: EquitableTech for the information technology and computer science fields and SciCommDiversity for the science communication/journalism profession. The EquitableTech candidate database has 1,000+ minorities such as Computer Science Bachelor degree college students as well as adults training in vocational computer coding bootcamps. The SciCommDiversity initiative encourages minority journalists to learn about STEM/health reporting and in a complementary manner educates minority scientists about science communication skills and careers.
