About Diversify Politics Society
The Diversify Politics society aims to empower ethnic minority politics students through campaigning for a decolonised curriculum and creating a space for students to engage within an inclusive and representative political sphere. We campaign within the University of Manchester to amplify the voices of ethnic minority politics students and ensure that the university commits to decolonising the curriculum, fostering inclusive spaces in education, and engaging staff and students from diverse backgrounds. We also aim to create a safe space for ethnic minority students to socialise with like-minded people, showcase their personal cultures, and engage with underrepresented and intersectional politics. We do this through regular book clubs on diverse and decolonial literature, debate nights, and socials.
