About Diversity Podcast
The Diversity Podcast explores people's identities and shares stories of individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from ethnic minorities. Coming from a rather rare background myself, I, Violetta, have always been asked, 'Who am I, and who are the Kalmyk people?' Combining my passion for storytelling with the aim of promoting, sharing, and learning more about my own Kalmyk culture, as well as my curiosity about the world's diversity, I came up with the idea for this podcast. Through it, I will tell overlooked stories of people from rare backgrounds, with the goal of further exploring both your identity and mine. Through this podcast, I aim to share not only my personal culture with the world, but also to shed light on overlooked stories and topics that are rarely discussed by individuals from unique backgrounds themselves.
