About Division 1 Moving & Storage
Not all teams are created equally. In college athletics, Division 1 teams are the elite leaders; talent and competition merging to create top-tier athletes, professionals in their sport. That holds true for Division 1 Movers. We are constantly raising the bar beyond the industry standards. Just like Division 1 athletes, our team trains hard, works harder, and keeps moving forward. Division 1 Moving & Storage was established in 2017 by Jake Harrison and Alec Vozenilek after seeing a unique opportunity to fill a gap in the industry. After Jake’s personal experience of growing up in multiple neighborhoods in the greater DC Metro Area, he noticed the stress that often comes along with moving. Figuring that his genuine care for people and dedication to quality services would provide customers peace of mind, and following in his cousin Alec's footsteps (the owner of D1 Moving in Richmond, VA) he decided to open Division 1 Moving & Storage. What started with a pickup truck and trailer hitch has steadily grown into a four truck fleet, 10 full-time employees, and a climate-controlled warehouse. Our DC Metro-based service area can deliver anywhere in the continental United States.
