About DKA

It is first and foremost a desire to practice architecture in an authentic way that drives Éric Desjardins and Sonkham Khamlong to found DKA in 2009. Motivated by the ambition to become a reference in the field, the two architects choose to bet on collegiality, family and creativity to break the shackles of the profession as they knew it until then. Quickly, the essence of DKA Architects was able to rally to its cause a crowd of passionate professionals, including new talents Virginie Roy Montpellier and Vincent Deslauriers, who joined as partners in 2017. Since then, the family has continued to grow: the firm which then had about twenty employees, now has more than fifty! DKA Architects is a culture, a community, a singular thought that supports its clients in the creation of a space that embodies them. We promote team spirit in our approach to conceptual work; as the workshop is completely open, ideas are exchanged and projects are constantly evolving. Sensitive to space, our artistic vision is inspired by places in order to maximize the unique potential of each project. Through a conceptual approach that prioritizes the collegiality of the team and the complicity of our clients, we go above and beyond to design spaces with an aesthetic signature that is distinct, organic andfunctional, helping to inspire and bring architecture to life in the community on a daily basis.
