DL Analytics is developing an AI solution for cervical cancer screening and management that runs entirely on the phone. AI is used to improve visual screening, by reading cervical images captured at the point of care to provide a visual diagnosis in minutes. The DLA Solution also includes a quality assurance component that ensures images captured at the point of care are adequate for evaluation, as well as an operational logistics component that enables managing an entire cervical cancer screening program all on the phone. The DLA solution is based entirely on software and AI, and is designed to run on Android phones. The upfront investment needed to start such a program is as little as $300. Providers purchase their own phones (such as Samsung S20 or newer, or S series), as well as approved light source and stand, and they are ready to get started. Very little training is needed, as the providers are given live feedback on what they need to do to get a reliable diagnosis. Because so little hardware is needed to start cervical cancer screening, the DLA solution is very scalable, particularly in remote areas.
