About DLT Entertainment
Celebrating its 60th year, DLT Entertainment is an award-winning independent TV production and entertainment company with offices in New York and London. With roots in TV comedy, DLT is active in legitimate theater and in recent years has expanded aggressively into the realms of talent representation, podcasting, and factual production. In the US, DLT is known as a pioneer of successfully adapting UK sitcom formats into highly rated, award-winning US sitcoms, such as: Three’s Company, The Ropers, and Too Close For Comfort. DLT distributes these series and others across a wide range of linear and digital platforms, including its own FAST channel 80’s Sitcom Flashback. In the UK, DLT produced the long-running BBC comedy hit, My Family and the beloved Judi Dench sitcom As Time Goes By. DLT owns and operates the Shaftesbury Theater, in London’s West End - currently home to the London production of Mrs. Doubtfire, The Musical. Under the leadership of Donald Taffner Jr, DLT has recently launched an ongoing expansion, assembling a portfolio of UK production companies and talent agencies, including: • Bedford Square Voices • Blue Book Artist Management • GAG Reflex • Impatient Productions • Juniper Productions • MMB Creative • The Galton Agency • The Soho Agency • Vera Productions Founded in 1963 as an international distribution company by television production executive Don L. Taffner Sr, bringing UK favorites such as Benny Hill to US audiences. In 1977, Taffner Sr boldly launched the family owned and operated business into network TV production, and scored an immediate success with Three’s Company, adapted from the UK series Man About The House. Today DLT is led by Taffner’s son, Donald Taffner Jr, who is overseeing a renewed expansion of the company into fresh areas of television, audio, live performance and talent representation.
