About Doane Family Association of America, OR, WA, ID Chapter
This page is for the Oregon Washington Idaho DFA Chapter. The Doane Family Association of America, Inc. (DFA) was organized to create interest in the history and welfare of the descendants of Deacon John Doane who landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1630. The nonprofit administers the Deacon John Doan Research Committee and DNA project, holds biennial reunions throughout the United States, operates as detectives searching genealogical records, publishes newsletters and books including the Doane Family Book (I, II, and II), connects family and people of like-interests. The DFA also partners with Doane College in Crete Nebraska for archiving and publishing services. The DFA is inclusive and welcomes people with surnames Doane, Doan, Done, Donne, or variations thereof, their spouses and descendants -- as well as other interested persons. The Doane Family Foundation, a sub-set of the national organization, administers a college scholarship fund available for Doanes to attend any accredited college or university.
