Dobson Construction Ltd have been providing construction services to Ilkley and Yorkshire for over 50 years. Established 1st February 1972 as Vincent Dobson Builders Ltd, the company met the needs of local and domestic building and property business maintenance. Dobson's have always provided the client with integrity of service and quality construction. Core values together with a conciliatory rather than commercial approach to project team relationships. This approach has resulted in a solid reputation in meeting clients expectations leading to financial security and long term employment of the managers and tradesmen who deliver projects on time, on budget, with quality. A policy of apprentice training spread over the lifetime of the company has provided a team of 30 directly employed tradesmen with an average service of 15 years at Dobson's. Traditional building values are complimented by an ever expanding technical knowledge of building products and techniques. Since 1972 building regulations have evolved taking the industry into the 21st century and the challenges it needs to meet in reducing environmental impacts. Traditional skills allow the privilege of working on historic listed buildings, whilst cutting edge and forward looking projects give Dobson's the opportunity to be involved at the design stage to ensure the client benefits fully from the knowledge pool at management and technical level. Historic Buildings or Unique Boundary pushing projects; we have been there and done it. We continue to enjoy the opportunity to provide the finished building. We have always worked this way. In recent years the term "Partnering" has entered the building language. Dobson's have been the client's and design team's partner for over 35 years.
