DOCKLANDS - Norway's culture ship Mission and context We are on a mission to bring sustainable culture to the masses, in close collaboration with local communities. And we hope you will join us on our exciting Docklands Adventure. For generations, the use of ships has been the most important way of traveling and connecting people along the long Norwegian coastline. Despite the many options for transportation today, ships are still the most environmentally friendly option, moving 90% of global goods and energy. Docklands will utilize the advantages of ships to transport cultural events and cultural expressions to the many cities and towns along the coast. We build a ship for concerts, events and art exhibitions. The aim is to provide a diversity of cultural experiences to the whole of Norway This solution will enable productions to travel environmentally friendly to a wide range of coastal communities along the coast of Norway. Great interest from the cultural industry A number of leading actors across the Norwegian cultural industry have shared their support and letters of interest for the project. Today's needs Up to this point, Docklands has been a pro-bono project at all levels. Docklands is currently seeking soft funding/financial partners, as well as strategic partners across shipowners and equipment suppliers and clusters, to connect the right value chain of cutting edge ecosystem players. There are 113 possible quays along the coast to consider, and we have to work with institutions that will offer concerts, shows and art exhibitions on board.
