Doctor-Jo.com sets out to provide safe, supportive, evidence-based support that everyone can access. At Doctor Jo, we believe that neurodiversity is a sign of difference, not disorder. Whether thinking about yourself or your child, our online sessions aim to celebrate strengths as well as helping to understand the challenges that come from having a unique way of seeing the world. Our Webinar series aim to share some key information that is usually only accessible from sessions with a psychologist. We entirely acknowledge that the therapeutic support formed in individual sessions cannot be replicated, but believe that our online support provides invaluable insights into how to support yourself or your neurodivergent child. Whilst we charge a fee for our online services, we hope it is affordable for many of you. We will endeavour to run donation-based sessions on occasion to ensure access for all. Our founder, Dr Jo Mathews, is a clinical psychologist who has worked for over ten years in various roles associated with neurodiverse people. Prior to moving to private practice, Jo was a clinical lead for Autism services in an NHS trust. Trained in both assessment of autism spectrum conditions and ADHD, Jo enjoys both offering diagnostic and therapeutic support. She works with trusted partners including Everlief Child Psychology, Autism Services Dublin and Kirsop-Taylor Healthcare to provide the highest standard of diagnostic and clinical intervention. However, Dr Jo also wanted to provide a simple, affordable and effective way of sharing psychological support to everyone because every neurodivergent person deserves to know that their neurodiversity can be their super power.
