In collaboration with members of the Phoenix Children's Hospital governing board, our team is helping medical residents reduce the time they spend documenting procedures. Hundreds of thousands of residents who are required to submit their progress to a national institution would benefit from improvements to the existing systems. Presently, the medical residents document procedures in the local Electronic Medical Record system while also having to log them in a third-party app MedHub. From user testimonials, the consensus is that this system is redundant and far too time-consuming. In attempts to document this information on their own, many residents wind up breaking HIPPA privacy laws. DocYou aims to eliminate the hassle through a simple mobile application that allows medical residents to scan the barcode on patient wristbands to auto-generate a log of their procedural experience as well as track their progress towards meeting their targets.
