About Dogwood Design

Dogwood Co. is a passion project of Creative Director, Scott Brinkmeyer. I started my career at a Houston ad agency where I managed to accumulate countless awards and accolades while working with some amazing clients (Volkswagen Houston, Buc-ees, ConocoPhilips, Kelsey-Seybold Health System, and Trendmaker Homes). Working on everything from comprehensive branding launches, targeted campaigns, and strategic marketing plans. Here’s where it gets good - In 2010, after a life-changing decision to follow Christ, I left my role at a lucrative position to pursue my newfound calling in the Church. A calling to bring the same passion, experience, and creative gifts I had developed in the cut-throat marketing world to sharing the gospel with the hurting, hungry, and lost. Later that year I followed that calling to a megachurch in the suburbs of Houston, TX. It’s here where I began to apply and tailor everything I had learned over the previous 10 years to support and move His Kingdom forward. Surrounded by supportive leadership, a talented team, and virtually unlimited resources I still struggled with one question. What about the other amazing churches that don’t have access to megachurch resources? In 2020 I resigned my position and stepped out in faith. I simply could no longer ignore the gentle, yet persistent, leading to step away and follow through with the dream that started ten years earlier. At Dogwood our calling is to support, lift up, and champion ministries and churches that aren’t currently able to allocate budgets for a full-time staff person, let alone a fully-staffed creative team. It is important to us that you know our goal isn’t to twist or mold your ministry into something it isn’t. We don’t think that kind of work would be blessed. Rather, our sole purpose, through honest conversation, thorough research, and creative execution, is to shine a light on what makes your ministry unique. We’re ready. How can we help?
