Dolan Memory Care Homes, established in 1993, is a family-owned and operated network of 17 residential memory care homes located throughout St. Louis County. Specializing exclusively in memory care, we offer a person-centered approach within 7,000-square-foot ranch-style homes designed for people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias that blend seamlessly into local neighborhoods. Each home fosters a warm, social environment where the 6 to 11 residents engage in daily activities such as meal preparation, gardening, and exercise classes, promoting independence and a sense of purpose. With a 1:3 staff-to-resident ratio and on-site medical services—including nursing, therapy, and hospice care—residents can age in place without the need to relocate due to changing care needs. Our residents live in traditional homes that are built specifically for those with Alzheimer’s and dementia, filled with helpful living cues, stimulating activities, safety and security measures, and more to make their lives as comfortable and fulfilling as possible. This innovative ‘treatment by design’ care model, based on clinical research, has been proven to improve a patient's quality of life and helps our residents to maintain a sense of independence. Nearly all new residents show improved health outcomes after moving into our small community. At Dolan Memory Care Homes, our residents age in place. We do not ask them to move to another wing, another floor, or another facility. Instead, we believe that continuity of care is important to both our residents and their families.
