The name Domaine La Louviere is inseparably associated with the wolf. And it means "winery of the wolfs". In days of old, wolves gathered on the foothills of the Pyrenees to watch the countryside and pick up the scent for the hunt. The vineyards of the Domaine now cover these gathering sites for wolves - the «Louviere». We are located between the foothills of the Pyrenean mountain range, 45 minutes southeast of Toulouse and about 30km southwest of the imposing fortress town of Carcassonne in the AOC Malepère. A unique microclimate characterises this harsh and original landscape: alternately pampered by the warm breeze of the Mediterranean and tested by the cool influence of the Atlantic and the Pyrenees, the grapes ripen in climatic tension. Each of the wines from Domaine is unique. Nevertheless, as in all packs, our wolves have a hierarchy. Our male wines represent classic temptation, while the feminine ones stand for sustainable temptation. Our range is led by a ruling pair of first-class wines that promise exclusive pleasure. We are a certified organic winery. To our organically grown grapes, we add our decade-long winemaking know-how and all our passion and make for you the best quality wines.
