Domestic Abuse Education was founded by Sharon Livermore MBE, a Domestic Abuse Survivor and present-day Campaigner; she uses her lived experience, and knowledge to educate businesses through a variety of training/education options. The Domestic Abuse Education mission is simple: To educate and train businesses across the UK on what domestic abuse is and the true difference they can make to each of their employees, who may currently, or in the future, experience domestic abuse; whilst ensuring every business has a Domestic Abuse Policy in place. Why? Work is often the only safe space where victims are away from their perpetrator, and therefore the only place where they can access the support they need to take the first steps to an abuse-free life. Sharon Livermore is the creator of “Sharon’s Policy”; a FREE template Domestic Abuse Policy, legally reviewed by Hogan Lovells & written in collaboration with the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse, the Domestic Abuse Alliance and HR Dept. The policy comes with its own set of guidance notes and offers businesses of every size, in every sector, a starting point on their journey to supporting their employee’s.
