DOROTHEA RESTORATIONS LIVES ! Dorothea Restorations is now back in business, run by Geoff and John Wallis, offering the same comprehensive range of high quality services in the: o restoration of historic cast and wrought ironwork, and traditional wind and water-mills o relocation and restoration of historic machinery o replication of traditional structures and machines Established in 1974 Dorothea Restorations was one of first companies to define and publish its conservation policies, and developed a nationwide reputation for ethical conservation. The Director’s intend that the highest standards of conservation and business ethics will continue under the ownership of the Wallis family. Alongside Dorothea Restorations an associate consultancy practise, Geoff Wallis Conservation, offers 40 years practical experience in the conservation of metalwork and machinery. We have plans to expand the business, improve our workshop facilities, and develop our range of high quality cast iron components. We intend to continue to sponsor the AIA’s Dorothea Award for Conservation and support voluntary bodies such as the SPAB and the NHIG. We are currently based in Bristol, but serve the whole UK.
