As the 5th largest PSAP in Kansas, we take P.R.I.D.E in being the vital link- the lifeline, for our citizens, visitors, and first responders of Douglas County, KS in emergency and non-emergency situations. Our Mission: To serve as the communications link between the citizens and public safety agencies, to identify locations and public safety responses, to activate public safety services and to provide communications support and coordination for all public safety efforts. The Douglas County Communications Center strives to provide the most effective emergency communications possible. To attain this goal, we must establish professional standards, attract, train, and retain the qualified employees necessary to provide these services. Our strength and success is tied directly to the individual and unique contributions of each of us working in the spirit of cooperation.
