About Downingtown Community Education Foundation
The Downingtown Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) that exists to support and inspire the students of the Downingtown Area School District by funding innovative teacher grants, by providing challenging, hands-on learning programs in our after school and summer “Experience” and by supporting other unique educational opportunities such as district-wide STEM initiatives and the Marsh Creek Nature Center, Amphitheater and Trail. The Downingtown Community Education Foundation’s (DCEF) Mobile Innovation Lab Project transformed a handicap accessible school bus into a state-of-the-art STEM mobile classroom that will travel to each of DASD's ten elementary schools ensuring equitable access to work with the advanced technologies and participate in unique educational experiences.
