About DP Logistics Services Limited

DP Logistics Services Limited is a new business founded by Paul Wheatley and Danny Twigger in March 2022. Whilst working together the conversation would always lead to us talking about how great it would be for us to set up and grow a business of our own and, after some deliberating we decided to put our plans into action! Paul has worked in transport since he was a teenager and has a wealth of experience in transport planning & management and operations management. He's worked for small and large businesses in all different sectors of the transport industry. He is a qualified International CPC Manager and has just completed his 10 year refresher course last year. Paul is a transport guy through and through! Danny also worked in transport for a brief while before qualifying as a teacher. He worked for 10 years as a secondary school teacher, successfully teaching Business Studies, ICT and some German before returning to the transport industry in 2017 to work as a Logistics Manager for a busy TPN depot (Pallet Network). Danny then went on to work as the Transport Manager for a local logistics company. He's currently in the process of gaining his Transport Manager's CPC - fingers crossed he passes it first time around! Our business is based in Corby, Northants - a hub for manufacturing, warehousing & distribution. We're expanding our network of trusted hauliers on a daily basis and our aim is to provide affordable distribution services to our customers whilst offering our hauliers attractive back load rates. We also offer external Transport Manager services to small businesses in the Northants, Leicestershire and Rutland area. In the future we plan to offer Driver CPC courses - we thought it would be a good idea to put Danny's teaching expertise to good use to help drivers and hauliers stay up to date and in line with the ever evolving legislation.
